Oil and gas drilling
- Mechanical and electric rigs, 4,000–7,000 m: 3000 series, 810–1,235 kW
- Electric drive rigs, 4,000–12,000 m: 175 series, 1,370–1,766 kW
- Mechanical rigs: 4000 series, 1,200–1,300 kW
- Rigs and mud pumps with torque converter or coupler: 2000 series, 560–1,000 kW
- Coupling gearbox sets: YOZJ750, standard equipment on oil drilling rigs
Power generation
Generator sets from 600 kW to 4,300 kW serve self-provided power stations for oil fields, mines and industrial sites, at 50 Hz or 60 Hz and up to 13,800 V. The 4000 series can be matched with 50 Hz or 60 Hz generators, and the 3000 series with single or double bearing generators.
Marine and offshore
- Marine propulsion and generator sets: 27/38 and 32/40 series, running on MGO, MDO or HFO and meeting IMO Tier II
- Large ships and offshore platforms: 175 and 26/32 series
- Ship main and auxiliary engines: 3000 and 6000 series
Pumps, locomotives and construction machinery
- Mud pumps, fire pumps and flood pumps: 2000 and 3000 series
- Industrial and mining locomotives: 3000 and 6000 series
- Construction machinery: 175 and 2000 series
- Dredging projects: coupling set with the H12V190ZLG1 engine
Engine technology
Newer series were developed by Jichai with AVL of Austria and domestic universities, using simulation of combustion, crankshaft torsion and turbocharger matching. Depending on the series, the engines use high-pressure common rail, the Miller cycle, electronic unit pumps, two-stage intercooling and ECU speed control.
